What’s the point of the MacBook Air?

It’s small, it’s light, it’s almost a notebook, isn’t it cool the MacBookAir? But it’s only got 2GB and a small “disk” space and slow old processor. For the same price you can buy a more performant Macbook!


This is of course a bit sterotypic. Of course, the MacBook Air will appeal to road warriors who need a light simple device to do email, spreadsheets and a few documents, and not much more. I also think that the MBA has another purpose for Apple.

It’s serves as a showcase for their engineering talent, it’s shows what they’re capable of. It’s a marketing concept that sells the MacBook Pros.
